Common Account Recovery Questions
Follow the steps below to restore your Arculus Wallet using your recovery phrase and Arculus Card.
Open the Arculus Wallet App on your phone.
Tap Get Started and accept the Terms & Conditions.
Tap your Arculus Card to the back of your phone when prompted.
Select Restore Wallet.
Create and confirm a 6-digit PIN.
Enter your 12- or 24-word recovery phrase (all lowercase) and tap Restore.
Tap your Arculus Card again and keep it there until the process completes (it may take a moment).
Name your wallet and tap Get Started / Go to Home Screen.
Go to Manage Assets to enable your currencies, or tap Enable All Assets with a Balance.
See the full guide here.

Your crypto isn't showing after a wallet restore? Here's what to check:
Enable your assets With quick restore, assets are not enabled by default. Make sure all the tokens and coins you hold are toggled on in your asset list. You can do this by clicking the Settings icon and “enable all” or “enable all with balance.”
Re-add any custom tokens If you previously added tokens manually, you'll need to add them again. Double-check that you're using the correct contract address for each one — an incorrect address will show a zero balance
Check that you used the right recovery phrase If your wallet shows no assets and no transaction history, the recovery phrase you entered likely belongs to a different wallet. Try restoring again with the correct phrase. Each recovery phrase generates a unique wallet, so even one incorrect word will produce a completely different address.
No, Arculus does not store any recovery phrases and we do not have access to the recovery phrase created with your wallet set-up. Because of this, it is imperative to write down your recovery phrase and to keep it in a safe place. If you lose your recovery phrase, we are unable to help you with access. Review best practices for storing your recovery phrases.
Any request for your recovery phrase should alert you immediately to fraud, as Arculus will never ask for your recovery phrase. This means you will never receive a call, an email, or be provided with instructions to share your recovery phrase from an Arculus employee. Beware of bad actors who look to obtain access to your wallet. Any attempt to ask for access to your recovery phrase should be reported immediately to Arculus at [email protected]
Common Crypto 101 Questions
Arculus takes a different approach from most hardware wallets — it's not a USB stick, touchscreen device, or bulky gadget. It's a slim NFC card that pairs with your phone, so there are no cables or firmware updates to deal with. The card has no battery, which removes many failure points you'd find with USB or Bluetooth-based devices.
Arculus uses 3-factor authentication: biometric unlock (face/fingerprint) on your phone, a six-digit PIN, and a physical NFC card tap to approve each transaction. rivate keys are protected by a CC EAL6+ secure element chip — a high-grade security certification. Since its 2021 launch, Arculus has not suffered a public hack or major security compromise.
Arculus supports dozens of major blockchains — like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, and XRP — and through EVM networks, it can store thousands of ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens, covering about 95% of the crypto market cap.

3FA—three-factor authentication—is the gold standard of digital security. Instead of relying on a single password or even two credentials, 3FA requires three distinct layers of proof before anyone can access your wallet or approve a transaction:
Something you have — the Arculus Card
Something you know — your PIN
Something you are — your fingerprint or face
This triple-layer defense doesn't just raise the bar for attackers—it makes unauthorized access nearly impossible.
See the full explanation here.
Yes. You can use the 12- or 24-word recovery phrase generated by your Arculus Wallet to restore it on other wallet platforms — as long as the other wallet supports the same derivation paths that Arculus uses. Please be aware that if you enter your Arculus wallet recovery phrase outside of Arculus your wallet is no longer protected with 3FA.
Common Troubleshooting & Technical Support Questions
Losing your phone is always a pain and can induce anxiety. The good news is that when you use Arculus to store your private keys, even if your phone is lost or stolen, no one will be able to access your crypto. Because Arculus uses 3FA, you need your PIN, biometric and Arculus Card to access your crypto. These three factors of authentication act like a vault keeping your private keys, and hence crypto, safe and out of the wrong hands. Here are the steps to take if you need to Restore your Arculus Cold Storage Wallet to a new phone (or other mobile device):
Open the Arculus App on your new phone.
Tap “Get Started.”
Hold the Arculus Card to the back of the phone (or other mobile device) as instructed.
Select “Restore Wallet.”
Create a 6-digit PIN.
Note: Recovering a wallet and creating a new PIN during the restore phase will overwrite any previous PIN associated with the Arculus Card, so the PIN for all devices will be the most recent PIN created.Confirm 6-digit PIN.
Type in the 12 or 24 word secret passphrase (Note: should be all lowercase) and hit “Restore.”
As directed, hold the Arculus Card against the back of your phone (or other mobile device), and allow a few moments for the process to complete. Please refrain from removing the Arculus Card from the device during this time.
Click “Get Started” / “Go to the Home Screen.
Your Arculus Wallet is now restored
If lost or stolen, please purchase a new Arculus Card and use your recovery passphrase to recover your wallet on your phone (or other mobile device). It’s important to note that because Arculus uses three-factor authentication, even if someone did steal your card, they wouldn’t be to able access your crypto without also having your PIN and biometric information. These three factors of authentication act like a vault keeping your private keys, and hence crypto, safe and out of the wrong hands.
Arculus does not charge fees to send or receive cryptocurrency. Fees for "Buy", "Sell" and "Swap" cryptocurrency transactions are charged by our liquidity partners, OnRamper, Transak and Changelly, to name a few, and are clearly displayed when swapping cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency and using fiat currency to buy cryptocurrency.

Common Estate & Beneficiary Questions
Your Arculus Cold Storage Wallet is a self-custody wallet. Self-custody wallets do not designate beneficiaries like bank accounts or brokerages do. The only way someone can access your digital assets is if they have access to your digital wallet.
In self‑custody, your private keys are the control, and beneficiaries can only inherit if you plan for access. This means you would have to make sure they can access your Arculus Cold Storage Wallet recovery phrase after death.
Store your recovery phrase safely:
Safe deposit box, fireproof safe, USB drive, encrypted file, etc.
Provide access instructions:
Explain how to access your Arculus Cold Storage Wallets
Provide seed recovery steps
Include step-by-step instructions (beneficiaries may not be technical)
Important To Not Do:
Do NOT email seed phrases to beneficiaries.
Do NOT store a seed phrase unencrypted in the cloud.
Do NOT list your seed phrase directly in a will.
Do NOT assume relatives will recognize a seed phrase or know how to use it.
You can see and export your transaction history from your Arculus Wallet App's History tab. The IRS' FAQ on Virtual Currency Transactions is a good resource to help you determine your tax liability and what you need to file on your tax return.
There are multiple third-party apps that you could use to retrieve the transaction data associated with your Arculus Wallet addresses. These apps usually require you to input your public wallet address, or your extended public key in the case of BTC/BCH/LTC/DOGE, and they will display all of the past transactions associated with that wallet address. We are not affiliated with any of these and therefore cannot recommend any specifically, but applications such as Koinly, Blockpath, and Cointracker are among those that can be used for this purpose.
You can get your wallet address for any asset by tapping the asset in your wallet and then tapping the 'Receive' button on the asset screen. Copying and pasting that address into one of the applications mentioned above (into the relevant screen within that application's user interface) will allow you to see all of the transactions for that address. For other assets such as BTC, BCH, LTC, and DOGE, you will need your extended public key. You can find this if you tap on the asset(s) in your Arculus Wallet, and on you will see a key icon in the upper right corner of the screen. If you tap on that icon the app will display your extended public key to you. You can then input this into the third party app to get all of the transactions associated with your extended public key.
